Estates Management

Over the years, Casual Living has partnered with Estates Management to furnish the outdoor living areas of their residential properties in the southeast. Locally, we have provided furniture for Arcadia’s Edge, 42 Magnolia, 5000 Forest, and 700 Woodrow, each an urban apartment residence. Outdoor living is a central feature of each of these residences and furnishing each with comfortable, quality outdoor furniture was always a priority.

The relationship we have developed over the years with our commercial clients is as important to us as those we have with our residential customers. Our mission is to offer the best quality, best value, and our expertise to all of our customers—at the time of the sale and beyond.

Arcadia’s Edge is the first green community in South Carolina. Certified under The National Green Building Standard, Arcadia’s Edge features environmentally-friendly amenities such as a salt water pool, natural gas hot water heaters, natural irrigation with rain barrels, and solar heated water in the club house.

A covered patio between the club house and pool provides a comfortable spot for outdoor living. Anchoring the seating area, which includes thick cushioned outdoor furniture, is a stone fireplace. A cool tile floor and comfortable, large-scaled aluminum furniture invites one to stay and socialize, or, perhaps, quietly sit and read.

700 Woodrow, once the well-known Whitney Hotel, was completely renovated in 2013. Beginning a new life as apartment homes, this long-established building on the corner of Woodrow and Devine Streets is conveniently located to the shops and restaurants of both Devine Street and Five Points. In the outdoor living area, a pool was removed to make way for an inviting outdoor living room for all residents to use. Dining, seating, and a cozy firepit were included, as well as plenty of grass for a homey feel. A great place to gather to meet friends and neighbors or to have a Cinqo de Mayo party, this “backyard” retreat is a popular amenity.

5000 Forest is Forest Acres’ newest addition to residence options. Contemporary and sleek, 5000 Forest feels like an oasis in the middle of the bustling Forest Drive. Multiple outdoor areas provide easy access for residents with dining tables and umbrellas in some areas and porch rockers in others. Walk through the open overhead garage doors in the club house and you exit to the larger community outdoor living area. Multiple seating areas, featuring chaise lounges or lounge chairs and tables, are in quadrants around a water feature and a fire feature. Attention to detail in both the furnishings and landscaping has created an inviting outdoor living room which is inviting and multi-functional.

42 Magnolia provides a quiet retreat with a meandering drive coursing through the property. More traditional that their other Columbia properties, 42 Magnolia provides a country club atmosphere with wooden- railed balconies that face the interior of the property while mature trees and shrubs create a welcome and serene landscape.

Behind the reception area, housed in a handsome gabled building surrounded by greenery, lies the pool area. A contained outdoor living area which features a pool, fountain, and pergola with swing, this outdoor living area serves both those who desire activity and those who desire quiet relaxation.
